About
Dr. Amanda Kutz
I am a licensed clinical psychologist serving clients in person in Salt Lake City Utah and providing telehealth services to 42 states and territories in the US through PsyPact. I offer effective treatments tailored to individual needs in a supportive, warm and authentic environment. I am committed to ongoing professional development to ensure the highest quality of care for my clients.
Rest and restoration is a basic need, one that many of us don't get nearly enough of. Adequate rest can drastically improve the quality of our lives and lack of it can take a major toll. I have expertise in treating sleep disorders, particularly insomnia using the gold standard behavioral treatment cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I).
Deep restoration can also be achieved during wakefulness using the practice of yoga nidra- which itself means 'sleep of the yogi.' I am a level 1 iRest Yoga Nidra teacher and guide groups and individuals in the practice. In addition, I incorporate the practice of meditative self-inquiry into therapy.
In addition to these practices, I also offer therapy for individuals seeking alignment with their most authentic selves. I believe healing and growth often occurs in layers and I will meet you wherever you are - offering support, understanding and effective tools- in your process towards growth.
I aim to make therapy an authentic space of healing and growth. One that provides an integrated approach incorporating both academic and clinical training. When I'm not at work, I spend my time recreating (leisurely)- usually accompanied by my dog- in the mountains of the west.
